Here's a handy tip - plant the ones you buy in the store rather than pay seed company prices. They grow just fine. I grew a load of buck thirty-nine a pound grocery store red beans and they did as well as the high dollar catalog seeds. A friend duplicated the experiment. Same results. Stupid feed store whole corn grows just fine, too - makes for good chicken and pig food. I also use commercial seed rather than the OG seed if it's the same variety. "Heirloom" is nice, but non hybrid (open pollinated) is all I really care about. Scavenged the lumber and chicken wire and was given the roll of plastic for free. Price of nails, ho ho!
